Account and data deletion policy

At Elite Gears Driving School, we are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy outlines how users of the Elite Gears app can request the deletion of their account and associated personal data, ensuring compliance with Google Play policies and data protection regulations.

1. Overview This page explains how users of the EliteGears app can request deletion of their account and associated personal data. We respect your privacy and provide you with full control over your data in accordance with Google Play policies and applicable data protection requirements.

2. How to Request Account Deletion You can request deletion of your account using any of the following methods:

Option 1: In-App Deletion (Recommended)

1.Open the EliteGears app

2. Go to Profile

3. Tap Settings

4. Select Delete Account

5.  Confirm your request

Option 2: Email Request

Send an email to: info@elitegearsdrivingschool.co.uk

Subject: Account Deletion Request – EliteGears

Please include: 

•  Your registered email address or Google account

• Optional reason for deletion (not required)

3. What Data Will Be Deleted

When you request account deletion, the following data will be permanently deleted from our systems:

• User account (email / Google login ID)

• Profile information (name, username, profile photo if any)

• Exam progress and test history

• Saved preferences and settings

• Flagged questions and review data

•  Any user-generated activity tied to your account

4. What May Be Retained

Some data may be retained for a limited period for the following reasons:

• Legal compliance obligations

• Fraud prevention and abuse prevention

• System backup recovery (temporary storage only)

Retention period for such data will not exceed 90 days, after which it is permanently deleted or anonymized.

5. Processing Time Account deletion requests are typically processed within 7–30 days. In some cases, backup systems may take up to 90 days to fully remove all data.

6. Important Notes

• Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone

• You will lose access to all purchased or saved content associated with the account

• Deletion does not automatically cancel any external subscriptions (if applicable)
